  2. Drain excess water from mochi rice and combine with an equal amount of boiling water.
  3. Let mixture rest for 4 hours or overnight, allowing it to cool and firm up.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together matcha powder and green tea leaves until well combined.
  5. Add sugar, honey, and vanilla extract to the matcha mixture and stir until dissolved.
  6. Whip eggs and butter until light and fluffy, then gradually add heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  7. Dust whipped cream with confectioners’ sugar to prevent sticking.
  8. Slice fresh strawberries into thin pieces for garnish.
  9. Cook mochi rice according to package instructions, then shape into small balls or rectangles.
  10. Dip each mochi ball into the matcha mixture, coating evenly, then roll in granulated sugar to coat.
  11. Place a dollop of whipped cream on top of each mochi ball and garnish with sliced strawberries.
