Ingredients:
- Fresh strawberries
- Sugar
- Cornstarch
- Water
- Lemon juice
- Vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Clean and hull the strawberries.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the sugar and cornstarch.
- Add the water to the bowl and stir until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and becomes syrupy.
- Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice and vanilla extract.
- Let cool to room temperature before using.
