Ingredients:

  • Beef strips
  • Vegetable oil
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Paprika
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Tomato paste
  • Red wine
  • Chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Bay leaves

Instructions:

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onions and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  4. Add beef strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add paprika, carrots, celery, tomato paste, red wine, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 1 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  7. Remove the bay leaves and season with additional salt and pepper if desired.
