Ingredients:
- Blackberries
- Granulated sugar
- Water
- Lemon juice
- Sparkling wine
Instructions:
Step 1: Wash and sanitize the blackberries. Step 2: In a saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is warm. Step 3: Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the lemon juice. Stir to combine. Step 4: Pour the mixture into a large pitcher or punch bowl. Step 5: Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving. Just before serving, pour the sparkling wine over the top of the blackberry mixture and stir gently to combine.
