Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions:

Step 1: Season the chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2: Dredge the seasoned chicken breasts in flour, shaking off any excess.

Step 3: Dip the floured chicken breasts in the buttermilk, making sure they are fully coated.

Step 4: Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture again, pressing the coating onto the meat to ensure it adheres properly.

Step 5: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 6: Add the lime juice and orange zest to the skillet and stir to combine.

Step 7: Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Step 8: Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
