Ingredients:
- Fresh fruit (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
- White wine (such as Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc)
- Sparkling water
- Simple syrup (equal parts water and granulated sugar, dissolved)
- Lime wedges
Instructions:
- Rinse the fresh fruit under cold running water, then pat dry with a clean towel.
- In a small saucepan, combine the white wine and simple syrup. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the simple syrup is dissolved.
- Add the sparkling water to the saucepan and stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the fruit is tender and the liquid has reduced slightly.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
- Strain the fruit mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher or punch bowl. Discard the solids.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fruit mixture and stir to combine.
- Serve the fruit punch immediately, garnished with additional lime wedges if desired.
