Ingredients:

  • Fresh fruit (such as strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • White wine (such as Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • Sparkling water
  • Simple syrup (equal parts water and granulated sugar, dissolved)
  • Lime wedges

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the fresh fruit under cold running water, then pat dry with a clean towel.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the white wine and simple syrup. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the simple syrup is dissolved.
  3. Add the sparkling water to the saucepan and stir to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the fruit is tender and the liquid has reduced slightly.
  5. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Strain the fruit mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher or punch bowl. Discard the solids.
  7. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fruit mixture and stir to combine.
  8. Serve the fruit punch immediately, garnished with additional lime wedges if desired.
