Ingredients:
- Blackberries
- Sugar
- Water
Instructions:
- Rinse the blackberries and remove any stems or debris.
- In a small saucepan, combine the blackberries and sugar.
- Add water to the saucepan and stir to combine.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
- Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the blackberries have broken down and the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool slightly before transferring the blackberry mixture to a blender or food processor.
- Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean container, discarding any solids.
- Store the blackberry puree in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 6 months.
