Ingredients:

  • Saffron
  • Cardamom
  • Rosewater
  • Lemon zest
  • Honey
  • Star anise

Instructions:

  1. Heat the saffron in a small amount of hot oil until fragrant.
  2. Grind the cardamom into a fine powder using a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.
  3. Mix the ground cardamom with the rosewater in a small bowl.
  4. Zest the lemon into a separate small bowl, making sure to remove any white pith.
  5. Mix the honey with the star anise in a small bowl until well combined.
  6. Combine the saffron oil mixture, cardamom-rosewater mixture, lemon zest mixture, and honey-star anise mixture in a large mixing bowl.
