Ingredients:

  • Fresh petals of spring flowers (such as daffodils, tulips, or hyacinths)
  • Sugar
  • Flour
  • Egg whites
  • Butter
  • Milk
  • Vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the fresh petals of spring flowers under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris.
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, mix together sugar and flour.
  3. Beat the egg whites until they become frothy, then add them to the bowl with the sugar and flour mixture.
  4. Add the butter and mix until it is fully incorporated into the mixture.
  5. Gradually add the milk, mixing until a smooth batter forms.
  6. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  7. Gently fold in the fresh petals of spring flowers to combine with the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 8-inch round cake pan.
  9. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  10. Allow the cake to cool completely before serving.
