Ingredients:
- Red wine
- Oranges, sliced
- Lemons, sliced
- Sugar
- Cinnamon sticks
- Cloves
- Star anise
- Nutmeg
Instructions:
- Heat the red wine in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the sliced oranges and lemons to the saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the sugar, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise to the saucepan and stir to combine.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean glass bottle. Discard solids.
- Store the mixture in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
