Ingredients:

  • Fresh figs
  • Lemons
  • Sugar
  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Wash the fresh figs and pat them dry with a clean towel.
  2. Cut the lemons in half and juice them using a manual or electric juicer.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the lemon juice, sugar, and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until the syrup has thickened slightly.
  5. Remove the syrup from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  6. Stir in the fresh figs and toss them to coat them evenly with the syrup.
  7. Serve the figs immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of sugar on top.
