Ingredients:
- Fresh pears
- Fresh ginger
- Lime juice
- Simple syrup
Instructions:
- Peel and chop the fresh pears into small pieces.
- Grate the fresh ginger using a Microplane grater.
- Juice the lime and set aside the juice.
- In a saucepan, combine the chopped pears, grated ginger, and lime juice. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is soft and fragrant.
- Add the simple syrup to the mixture and stir to combine.
- Continue heating for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
- Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean glass container. Discard any solids.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks, or until desired use.
