Ingredients:

  • Maple syrup
  • Fresh ginger
  • Whiskey

Instructions:

  1. Heat the maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches 160°F on a candy thermometer.
  2. Peel and finely grate the fresh ginger, then add it to the saucepan with the maple syrup.
  3. Stir in the whiskey and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool slightly before serving.
  5. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  6. Before using, give the mixture a good stir to redistribute the ingredients.
